Here at American Sentinel K9, LLC, we strive to produce the finest working class APBTs and bandogs. Beginning his Animal Science studies in 1990 and breeding in 2000, it is also worth stating that the American Sentinel K9 is the the oldest bandog program in existence. Our program has literally produced hundreds of working class bandogs, far more than any other program in the world. Our dogs excel as family companion guardians and as formidable hog catch dogs. The differences between the American Sentinel and other "bandog programs" are...1. Our dogs are performance tested, 2. Our dogs are health screened before breeding, and 3. after decades of selective breeding our dogs have been refined into a family of dogs with the traits I desire consistently "breeds true." What this means is, when you get a dog from American Sentinel K9, you know what to expect. Our American Sentinels are registered in house with our American Sentinel Canine Registry (Side 1, Side 2); however, our American Pit Bull Terriers (APBTs) are registered with the American Dog Breeder's Association (ADBA).
The American Sentinel K9 program is unique not only due to its long-proven history of producing working dogs, but also because American Sentinel K9, LLC has the only APBT and Bandog program founded, owned, and managed by someone with multiple professional degrees and experience in Animal Sciences (animal husbandry, animal behavior, genetics, & reproduction). After working as a professor of genetics and biology at both the secondary and collegiate levels for over 25 years, H. Lee Robinson retired from education and is now working solely on the advancement of his breeding and training program in effort to take to the next level, and plans to build an indoor training facility in 2025 to assist in this goal.
